After two years of freerunning, I’ve obtained some of my greatest attributes and life-long friends. I’d honestly like for everyone in the world to experience the unfathomable sense of peace I’ve acquired through this discipline. Luckily for most of us, we have the necessary bodily function, income, and resources to reach and surpass any goals in mind.

Don’t take for granted what’s been given to you.

Use it wisely and make the best of every situation, good or bad. Move outside the comfort zone, try something new… face your fears to live your dreams. Peace.

For the past three months, for breakfast, I have eaten nothing but two pieces of toast with peanut butter and honey, and a cup of dunkin doughnuts coffee. Other than my morning intake of breakfast I’m completely spontaneous. Routine events make me bored, I laugh at all the wrong times, when I have an idea I follow through with it, jumping off water falls into 30 degree water is a lot of fun, the desert will be my home someday, to be continued

Freerunning is best described as an art that defines one’s individualism through movement. Anywhere we go in life there are obstacles. When going from one place to another, the freerunner takes the path that defines them and they pay no attention to society.

For example, a freerunner’s perspective of an obstacle could be a wall that stands in their intended path. The freerunner learns to overcome this wall and get around it in their own unique way. The freerunner begins this way by overcoming obstacles in the physical world. But the true freerunner takes this to other parts in their life other than just the physical realm.

On one hand I’m totally an engineer. I love math and all that nerdy stuff. You can often find me hanging around the Civil Engineering building on campus…

However, on the other hand I am a MAJOR adrenaline addict, constantly striving to feed my addiction. I combine the natural movements of my body with my physics knowledge to push myself to that beautiful edge of precision. I strive to understand everything around me, a passion that has lead me to meet loads of awesome people, many of which have become life long friends.

I’ve been “officially” practicing the art of Parkour/Freerunning for about three and a half years now. By that I mean I wasn’t even sure what to call it when I started, but I’ve always had the love of movement in me since of I was a little kid. My goal is self expression and building confidence in others, as I share this art with them. One day I would love to apply my Civil Engineering degree to designing freerunning parks ;)
